More than 100 nurses have been interviewed for a book on the history of modern nursing. Nurses' Voices is an oral history of the profession, based on 1,000 hours of recorded interviews with nurses who trained and worked at St George's Hospital and St George's, University of London. Carol McCubbin, manager of the Nurses Voices Oral History Centre at Kingston University and St George's, said the project had "brought out many wonderful stories".
