Women follow the crowd when it comes to sexual attraction, according to Welsh scientists. Psychologists from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff have found a scientific reason why female friends often take a liking to the same man. Their research found that females, but not males, are influenced by other women's levels of attraction, known as "mate-copying" in the animal kingdom. "Although it is not fully clear why women are influenced by other women's attractiveness judgements, evidence suggests that they take into account a wide variety of non-physical factors when evaluating male attractiveness," said lead researcher Michael Dunn.
