One of England's ancient cities now has its own speakers' corner. Lincoln Business School, part of the University of Lincoln, suggested a public forum as part of a research project to boost local citizens' involvement in the city's activities and politics. The project is part of an ongoing partnership between the university and a confederation of the local private, public, voluntary and community sectors. Lincoln Speakers' Corner, located off the city's high street, was inaugurated earlier this month by politician Tony Benn. His address was followed by one from a graduate student from the university's journalism school.
