Standards at Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, have improved over the past seven days. This is after a low point, reported in last week's Antithesis, when Ofsted wrote to: Professor N. K. Buxton, director, University of Lancaster, Hatfield.
Professor Buxton is in fact vice chancellor of the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield. This week Ofsted correctly affiliated him to Hertfordshire but persisted in terming him "director". And its letter requested him to reply by May 13, which will be difficult as he did not receive the letter until May 16.
Isn't Buxton in Derbyshire?
