Internet Resources is a free World-Wide Web newsletter produced by Heriot-Watt University Library and edited by Roddy MacLeod and Gordon Andrew. It lists new and recent Internet resources of interest to the higher education community. It also aims to provide occasional guidance on various aspects of electronic information. The newsletter can be accessed at: http://www.hw.ac.uk/libWWW/irn/ irn.html Beastly behaviour

Web users are invited to design digital beasties to inhabit the updated TechnoSphere Web site at the London Institute (http://www.lond-inst.ac.uk/technosphere/index.html) They will join hoover-mouthed serpents with six eyes, herds of horned beasts with spiral bodies and yellow trumpet gliders. The developers will be changing the site rapidly over the next few weeks, adding new functions to the Creature Designer software so that the design of artificial life-forms can become more complex as beta testing continues.
