关于 Estonian University of Life Sciences
Established in 2005, the Estonian University of Life Sciences is located in Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia. It has links back to 1951 as the former Estonia Agricultural University.
Students can study at bachelor’s, master’s and PhD level across subjects such as agriculture, forestry, animal science, veterinary science, rural life and economy, food science, biodiversity, nature protection, renewable natural resources and environmentally friendly technologies.
It’s the only university in Estonia which provides research into the sustainable development of natural resources necessary for the preservation of heritage and habitat. In addition, it’s known as the greenest university in the country thanks to the adoption of various sustainable practises on campus.
On campus, students will find a student union, cafeterias, computer and language centres, and supermarkets.
In addition there are comprehensive sports facilities, which include facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports and a gymnasium that’s well equipped for both fitness training and weight lifting. In addition, students are encouraged to join clubs to compete competitively. Sports on offer include aerobics, bodybuilding, volleyball, basketball, athletics, skiing, boxing and rowing.
For those interested to get involved in other clubs, there are plenty available including: the International Club, Estonian Forestry Students Association, The Journal Club of Life Sciences, Chamber Choir and a folk dance group called Tarbutu.
The Estonian University of Life Sciences has established relationships with universities around the world, carrying out various exchange activities such as academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and the opportunity for students to study abroad.
