Ilam University of Medical Sciences

Ilam University of Medical Sciences was founded in 1995. It is a public university officially recognised by the Ministry of Health and the Medical Education of Iran. The university has a medical centre that offers research, education and healthcare to the local community and surrounding areas.

The university is located in Ilam, a city in western Iran.

There are a range of bachelor, masters and doctoral level degree programmes available for students to study at the university. These programmes include health sciences, occupational health, dentistry, midwifery, and microbiology.

There are 11 hospitals affiliated with the university, as well as 63 healthcare centres. Students are given the opportunity to gain practical experience by training at these centres, while also providing healthcare to the local community.

The Journal of Basic Research in Medical Sciences is the university’s medical and research journal. It is an open access, peer-reviewed international journal that publishes research, articles, reports, reviews and letters covering all fields of medical sciences.
