Universidad del Caribe is a non-profit public university which was established in 2000 in Cancun, Mexico.
This institute of higher education is largely focused on environmental protection, tourism and sustainability studies through an integrated approach and collaboration. The university has listed its main vision as to promote the economic, social and human development of Quintana Roo and Mexico.
Located in the beautiful (and popular with tourists) city of Cancun, Mexico, the university offers academic programmes in areas of tourism, sustainability, environment, technology, innovation, business and public-social management. The university offers programmes in 11 undergraduate degrees, 11 graduate degrees and two doctorate disciplines. The university especially emphasises an integrated approach to education involving community involvement and flexible educational models.
Regarded as one of the top public universities in Mexico, the Universidad del Caribe has been recognised by the Secretary of Public Education in Mexico as one of the top learning institutes in the nation.

The university’s strategic location and its collaboration with companies and local engagement provides students a holistic opportunity to get involved with different projects related to rural community education, social development, social responsibility and environmental care. The university has agreements with more than 800 companies both locally and worldwide. The campus also offers students a host of recreational activities ranging from sport facilities to student service centres.
There are more than seven workshop laboratories and more than 17 computer laboratories in the campus.
