Yanbian University (YBU), founded in 1949, is a key, comprehensive university in China. It is listed under the Western Development Program, Project 211, and the Double First-Class Initiative of China. It is also included in collaborative development projects between Jilin provincial government and Ministry of Education, and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. YBU has 17 schools dedicated to teaching and research. It offers 74 undergraduate programs, 55 master programs, 10 doctoral programs, and 6 postdoctoral programs. In 2017 and 2022, Its foreign languages and literature program was included in the Double First-Class Initiative. Today, YBU has 2,229 staff, 29,086 full-time students, and 62 international students. YBU adheres to the school motto of “truth, virtue and integration” and spirit of “self-improvement, harmony and constant renewal”. Carrying forward the admirable tradition of "pioneering with painstaking efforts, inheriting culture, highlighting characteristics, strengthening cooperative teaching and learning among ethnics , and encouraging extensive communication and
multilateral cooperation", the university deeply implements new strategies for transformation and development, thus constantly promotes high-quality and comprehensive development of the school. YBU attaches great importance to going global. It has signed exchange and cooperation agreements with 277 universities and academic institutions from 31 countries and regions. The University boasts 38 provincial and ministerial research centers and laboratories. Among them, there are 2 state key laboratories and 1 state key research base which are entrusted by the Ministry of Education: Beef and Cattle Innovation Laboratory, Changbai Mountain Natural Medicines Laboratory, and Humanities and Social Sciences Research Base. YBU has excellent research achievements. In recent 3 years, it has undertaken 586 national, provincial research projects, and published 4,358 journal papers.

About the Role The Lecturer will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the suite of Postgraduate Palliative & End of Life Care topics in the Palliative & End of Life Care Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Masters or specialist short course offerings. You will be responsible for making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in teaching practices and technologies to deliver excellence in teaching. You will have the opportunity to develop teaching materials, deliver lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies, coordinate topics and support assessment work. Another exciting aspect of this role is the opportunity to concurrently engage in practice in a clinical or community setting to support maintenance of contemporary practice, knowledge and skills.
