Zhejiang Chinese Medical University

Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is situated in Zhejiang Province and was established in 1953.

It is a collaborative effort of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Bureau of Education.

Initially known as Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Training School, it was later renamed Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1959. The university obtained the right to confer doctoral degrees in 1998 and moved to Hangzhou Binjiang Higher Education Park in March 2000, expanding its infrastructure and academic offerings.

Today, the university has a large campus with modern facilities. It offers programmes including doctoral and master's degree programmes in traditional Chinese medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, basic medicine, clinical medicine, pharmacy, nursing and many more.

Zhejiang Chinese Medical University recruits and trains graduate students in traditional Chinese medicine. It is also among the first institutions in Zhejiang Province to have post-doctoral research stations.

To encourage more international students to study at the university it offers various scholarships, including the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for Overseas Students in China, Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Scholarship for Overseas Students, and Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine President Scholarship.
