NUS opposes tax 2

April 26, 2002

In your article on the election of the new NUS president, you write of a student movement split over the issue of a graduate tax.

We are a student movement here to represent 3 million students graduating with debts that they won't clear before they are 40.

The member unions of the NUS have voted against accepting a graduate tax.

If our movement appeared split prior to this, we were merely being representative of our future as well as our present.
