Further education colleges and training providers must provide cheap and easy access to courses that learners and employers really want, says a new report.
The report by the Further Education Funding Council, Matching Employer Needs and Learner Aspirations Today and Tomorrow - the Strategic Challenge for Providers , lists nine recommendations to make post-16 education more relevant to the economy. The report says a quarter of the workforce is skills deficient.
