Edinburgh University will be the first Scottish institution to take part in the official national student satisfaction survey. In last year's first National Student Survey, 170,000 final-year students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland gave their verdicts on their courses and institutions. The 2006 survey will take a snapshot of student opinion north of the border by including finalists at Edinburgh. Other Scottish institutions have yet to sign up.
