William Hoedeman and Claire McNamara are among the 350 members of staff and students at York University who can now borrow a bicycle to commute between King's Manor in the city centre and the university's Heslington campus, some three miles away. Funding for 12 bikes came from the Department of Transport's Cycling Initiatives Fund and the university's Sustainable Transport Fund.
