Swansea University's geography department has said falling birth rates will cause a demographic crisis unless more immigration is allowed.
The study was based on census information and new research. It says that without a rise in immigration from today's 73,000 a year to 1 million to compensate for an ageing population, the British will have to work until they are 70 or fund more of their of own healthcare and pensions.
