Changing times: still from Alys McAuley's double award-winning computer animation, Monday, a positive approach to the onset of puberty in girls. Alys, who created the work while studying graphic design at Nottingham Trent University, won the animation category in the Royal Society of Arts student design awards as well as the Disney Video and Buena Vista Entertainments travel award worth Pounds 2,500. Fellow student Stella Chapman won the Pantone award for the most creative and commercial use of colour in graphics at the recent New Designers event.
