Derwent Information, the leading patent and scientific information provider, is opening a Glasgow office because of the city's "exceptional pool of graduates". It will recruit more than 50 science graduates to analyse patents and write abstracts.
The company analyses technical information and extracts elements relevant to customers. "This can be done only by high-calibre scientists," said managing director Peter McKay.
