Andre Durand marked the end of his tenure as artist-in-residence at Kingston University with the unveiling of his controversial allegorical posthumous portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales, as the goddess Fortuna.
He called on friend Koo Stark, former girlfriend of Prince Andrew, to perform the ceremony.
Fortuna is Durand's second portrayal of the princess in that guise. He saw parallels between Diana and the goddess: a transient figure, bestowing smiles and gifts and then departing.
Durand's work at Kingston has been photographed and filmed for later transmission on: www.durand-gallery.com
