The Dorothy Hodgkin fellowships, aimed at preventing the loss of women from science after they have completed their PhDs, have been massively oversubscribed, with 220 applications. The number of fellowships has been increased, mainly by a Government donation, so that 16 are now available. The fellowships are run by The Royal Society.
