A collaborative website that aims to reveal the links between climate change and the tropical rainforests to young people and the general public has won a gold medal from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education in the United States.
Scientists at Edinburgh University, the National Museums of Scotland and the Emilio Goeldi Museum of Par , Belem, in Brazil have worked together on the Climate Kaleidoscope site, which shows how a team of Brazilian and European scientists is carrying out research in an Amazonian rainforest. The project was funded by a millennium award from the Royal Society and the British Association for the Advancement of Science.
