Climate-modelling research in the United Kingdom and Germany is outpacing the United States, a senior American academic has warned.
Edward Sarachik, an atmospheric sciences professor at the University of Washington, who headed a National Research Council panel that has examined the issue, is to call on a US Senate committee to take action to make up ground on European rivals.
