It's one thing getting people to agree to sing from the same hymn-sheet, it's quite another getting agreement about the wording of the hymn. The Government's public relations coup in getting the anti-fees National Union of Students to sign up to support a national advertising campaign promoting fees and bursaries has not been without its glitches.
Two days before the campaign was due to be launched, there was still no agreement between all the different bodies involved over what the campaign slogan should be. One wag, concerned about the Government's failure to act, suggests "better late than never".
