A database of Israeli flora and fauna has been developed on an internet site by a team of researchers at the Hebrew University. The database, called BioGIS, is the first of its kind in Israel. It divides its records according to geographical areas, and provides tools for querying, analysing, modelling and visualising patterns of species distributions.
