Australia's Monash University has subscribed to the standards set by the Global Alliance for Transnational Education, and will have its courses listed on GATE's database. GATE was founded by the cable television entrepreneur Glenn Jones to ensure that distance education students can obtain credentials that are recognised and understood by educators and employers worldwide.
