Grid group wins funds

A grouping of computer software development teams at Southampton, Edinburgh and Manchester universities has received £5.6 million from the research councils' e-science scheme. OMII-UK (the Open Middleware Infrastructure Institute UK) develops "Grid" software for research across all disciplines.
