Academics were quick to dismiss a report by university human resources chiefs last month that found that academics tended to be satisfied with their pay and conditions. But at least one scholar has found some value in the report. Mike Wallace, professor of education at Bath University, hopes to use it as a teaching resource. "A nice example of biased sampling," he said.
