China is revving up for a major British higher education public relations ambush, with both Bill Rammell, the Higher Education Minister, and Boris Johnson, his Conservative counterpart, arriving the week after next. Sadly, Mr Johnson, whose recent fall from his bike in central London has attracted a puzzling amount of press attention, may be forced to travel by taxi rather than pedalling between meetings like a local.
