A European stakeholders conference entitled 'Knowing your genes, what implications?' will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on 6 and 7 May.
The conference, organised by the European Commission, will focus on the 25 recommendations presented by the European Commission expert group on the social, ethical and legal implications of genetic testing.
An open discussion will address issues such as bio-banks and pharmacogenetics, data protection issues, the civil society perspective, regulatory issues, genetic testing and genetic counselling, education, information and discrimination.
