A name change planned by Leeds Metropolitan University has been put on hold until Susan Price, its new vice-chancellor, starts next year. Last year, the board of governors agreed that the university would change its name from Leeds Met to Leeds Carnegie, and an application for permission was made to the Privy Council. The university has asked the council to withhold approval until next year.
