If the Bologna Process is so important, why did so many UK vice-chancellors fail to show up for the European University Association convention in Glasgow last week? Of the 40 universities there, only nine UK vice-chancellors attended - fewer than the Turkish contingent. Had the venue been closer to the Med would they have found the time?
