Brussels, 02 Aug 2005
A conference on the new and emerging science and technology (NEST) activity of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), entitled 'Creating new opportunities through European research at the frontier' will take place on 20 and 21 September in London, UK.
According to the organisers of the event, with FP7 on the horizon, the time is ripe for a conference that asks how programmes of this type can best promote a capacity for creative opportunity seeking in European research.
The conference will provide a forum in which such issues can be discussed, and by considering NEST in the light of other activities with similar objectives, the aim is to draw insights and lessons for future research funding in Europe. More information on the event will be available shortly at the following web address: http:///www.nestconference.com
