A business school in the North East of England has achieved accreditation from an international body that certifies business and finance colleges around the world. Newcastle University Business School has received the European Quality Improvement System kitemark from the European Foundation for Management Development, joining an elite group of colleges worldwide that hold the award. Ian Clarke, the school's director, said the accreditation was not awarded lightly. "It provides tangible evidence of our commitment to provide quality education and learning and services to business, underpinned by cutting-edge research," he said.
