The University of Nottingham is receiving Pounds 450,000 for building key skills training into the curriculum. The cash is part of an Pounds 8 million initiative by the higher education and employment division of the Department for Education and Employment. The university has followed up research by its school of education and committed itself to ensuring students are prepared for the world of work.
