A dispute between Nottingham Trent University and the University and College Union is close to being resolved, union leaders have said. The UCU took industrial action after the university introduced new restrictions on the time that representatives could spend on union duties. A UCU spokesman said: "An agreement has been ratified by the branch committee subject to some points requiring clarification, including a resolution of workload issues for representatives for the current year, and addressing the need to ensure that time is now provided for implementation of the national framework agreement." The university will not now be "greylisted", as the union had threatened during the impasse.
