Terence Kealey, vice-chancellor of Buckingham University, is not known for a tendency to shun the most controversial stance when on the telephone to a journalist. He was at it again last week when he launched a rather bruising attack on Nursery World (our sister publication, which has just celebrated its 80th anniversary issue) in an opinion piece for The Times . His lengthy diatribe about erroneous childcare advice through the ages - and breastfeeding in particular - was unexpected to say the least. We all know that university leaders have to keep one eye on their future undergraduates in secondary schools - but is Dr Kealey taking it too far?
