Architecture students who take a year of paid work experience in the middle of their training will not have to make early repayments of their tuition fees, the government has confirmed.
Alan Johnson, the higher education minister, told the Royal Institute of British Architects that students will repay fees only after completing their academic training if the government's higher education bill reaches the statute book.
