Italian children up to nine years of age are determined to believe in Father Christmas, according to a study by the Observatory of Magical Phenomena at the University of Perugia. From a sample of 500 children, it emerged that 98 per cent between three and five believe in Santa and 67 per cent of eight to ten-year-olds.
