Brussels, 28 February 2002
The sixth European space power conference (espc-2002) will take place in Porto, Portugal, from 6 to 10 May 2002.
The event, sponsored by the European space agency (ESA) in cooperation with the Universidade de Porto, aims to bring together many issues related to spacecraft power systems within a single event. Emphasis will be given to generating awareness of the interactive nature of many specific disciplines.
Topics covered will include power systems, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, power conditioning and distribution, high voltage conversion and related design technology.
Portugal became an official member of the European space agency in 2001. The conference will provide an opportunity to foster interest and cooperation in space activities with Portugal.
