The Catholic priest elected to lead Charles University theological faculty is unacceptable to academic and church authorities. Vaclav Wolf has led the faculty for several years but, although elected in 1997 for a third term, he was banned from taking the post on the grounds that a college head can be elected only for two successive terms.
