Malaysia is to create a framework for ranking all tertiary-level qualifications.
The government hoped that pegging different qualifications against each other would give employers and professional bodies a clearer picture of the level and content of the multitude of qualifications. It would also make it easier for parents and students to identify paths for educational progression when planning studies and careers, the education ministry said.
The ministry expects to get parliament approval for the implementation in October.
