It is clearly time for the society's Young Rural Researchers to change their name. One of its members, Elizabeth Hyde, a Bristol University PhD student, has been researching drug-taking by 14 to 20-year-olds in rural communities. They invited her to a rave, but on discovering that she was 24, promptly withdrew the invitation on the grounds that she was too old.
