Durham University and the University of Bristol share top spot in our GPA ranking for geography and environmental studies, with both institutions scoring an impressive 3.55. Sharing the third spot, the University of Southampton is joined by the University of Glasgow, just ahead of the universities of Oxford and Leeds, which occupy joint fifth – with the latter rising from 19th place in 2014.
Outside the top 10, King’s College London was one of the highest movers in 12th spot, up from 25th in 2014, Loughborough University climbs from 48th to 19th, and Northumbia finished 25th, having been outside the top 50 eight years ago.
At a national level the Geography and Environmental Studies UoA has a GPA of 3.19, with 37 per cent of its submission rated 4*. 1854.58 FTE staff were submitted to this UoA.
