Italy's equal opportunities minister, Laura Balbo, has called a meeting of university rectors and higher education ministry senior staff to press for the introduction of gender studies within history, literature and psychology courses. She also called for new, more feminist-sensitive disciplines such as equal opportunities legislation within labour law.
