A sale of work by artists including David Hockney, Tracey Emin and Bridget Riley has raised £225,850 towards a new campus. Alumni, staff and supporters of the Royal College of Art donated 15 lots for the Christie's Postwar and Contemporary Art sale. The cash will go towards the campus in Battersea, due to open in 2014. The college needs another £12 million to finish the scheme.
