A film by two lecturers at Teesside University has been voted Best Animated Film of 2005, beating the blockbuster Wallace and Gromit animation, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit . Clive Tonge and Siobhan Fenton, both computer animation lecturers, received the award last month from the Encyclopaedia of Fantasy Film and TV for their animation Emily and the Baba Yaga . The film, based on a Russian folk tale, has also won the North East and Borders regional award for Best Drama or Entertainment Production from the Royal Television Society.
