The Office of Science and Technology is to undertake a national survey on public attitudes to science. The survey, which would be carried out every two years, would also assess the level of interest in the government's science and society activities. It comes in response to the British Association report on science in society last year. But the OST ruled out the BA's recommendation of a new media monitoring service to support science.
