Colin Pulham, a research chemist at Edinburgh University, has won the inaugural Royal Society Kohn Award for Excellence in Engaging the Public with Science. Dr Pulham was awarded the £2,500 prize, plus a grant of £7,500 to further science communications, for his work in communicating and promoting dialogue about science. The award aims to encourage younger scientists and science communicators to adopt good practice in engaging with public audiences.
