Ever eager to improve the public relations skills of public sector workers, the Government is to hold a conference on "communicating professionalism" in November in London. But an e-mail about the conference sent to public services staff hardly inspires confidence. "Citizens," says the e-mail, "reply (sic) upon the information government supplies... the evidence we received (sic), however is, is that the current model is failing."
Failing indeed.
