World University Rankings 2013-2014 coming soon

After ten years of evaluating the world’s top universities for its annual world university rankings, Times Higher Educationunderstands that there are many things that can make a university special - and not all can be captured by rankings data.

So for our 2013-14 World University Rankings video competition, we asked readers - anyone who works or studies in higher education - to tell us the best things about their university.

“The Times Higher Education World University Rankings judge world-class research universities across a trusted and comprehensive range of 13 separate performance indicators, to provide the gold standard in university comparisons”, said Phil Baty, editor of Times Higher Education rankings. “But they can’t capture everything. With this video competition, we are celebrating the less tangible, but no less important, elements of higher education.

One winning video will be selected by THE before the end of the year, and the winner will receive an Apple iPad. Those videos which capture the imagination of the higher education community on social networks are likely to find favour with our judges.
