Just when we thought National Health Service cuts could not get any worse, Diary learns that a university medical school has to be listed in The Medical Act 1983 for its graduates to register as doctors. So pity Imperial College London medics. Because Imperial will soon no longer count as the University of London, its medicine degrees will not be included in the Act.
